The idea for this page is to list great songs for card playing. Whenever we have a poker night I like to make a CD or two of songs that fit my mood for the night. I'm curious what other people's songs are!

I'm the five card stud" ... a MUST have on poker night with a nice hook and ballsy riff.
Aerosmith's - Too Bad ... with the lyric ... "well my daddy was hard, his face is pretty scared from kickin' ass and playin' poker to win ... that's why I'm bad ... no school boy ... I'm a rat ... and it's too bad, you can't gimme none of that" ... a bluesy rocker that fits nicely as the cards fall.
AC/DC - The Jack ... About a girlfriend that was screwing around. The "Jack" is meant as a sexually transmitted disease. The lyric ... Well she gave me the queen ... and she gave me the nine ... but she gave it to anybody ... but how was I to know the card were comin' from the bottom of the pack ... if I'd have known what she was dealin' out, I'd have dealt em BACK ... She's got the Jack ... She's got the Jack ... and who knows what else" A funny song that is blues based and smokes nicely.
Motley Crue - Keep Your Eye On The Money ... a great song about trusting nobody. With the chorus "Keep your eye on the money, keep your eye on the dealer's hand, keep your eye on the money, keep your eye on the lady's hand" an excellent gambling song.
Eddie Money - Gambling Man ... a feel good rocker about feeling lucky and being a betting man. With the lyric ... "well I play poker, I roll them dice and I play the race track too ... and I play with you baby ... cause I'm a Gambling man ... try to understand, I'm just a gambling man ... when I look over my shoulder and find a four leaf clover it makes me feel like a lucky man ... a gambling man.
The Refreshments - Mekong ... a fun song about drinking and enjoying life. With the lyric, "so deal me in, and I'll pick my cards up off the floor, I'll see a lucky coin and raise a pack of lies ... smile to the girl at the door another 4 dollar whore, but don't look 'er in the eye cause she'll break your heart, and as cliche as it may sound I'd like to raise another round and if your bottle's empty, help yourself to mine, thank you for your time and here's to life"
